A
Positively Connecticut™ Book
A
celebration of Connecticut's many summer delights from
broadcast
personality Diane Smith.
Summer in Connecticut is
strawberry festivals and sailing regattas. It's lazy days on the beach and
twilight concerts on the green. It's kayaking around the Thimble Islands and
taking tea amid formal gardens. It's all this and much more.
Residents of the Nutmeg State
and visitors can celebrate the spirit of summer with Positively Connecticut™
television journalist and radio personality Diane Smith, who takes readers on
an unforgettable tour of the summer season. A lavishly illustrated idea book
and tribute to this diverse coastal state, Summer in Connecticut (Globe
Pequot, $24.95 hardcover, June 2004) points the way
to clam bakes and oyster fests, agricultural fairs and antique car shows,
summer theater and craft fairs, fife and drum musters and drive-in movies, plus
a whole host of other activities and attractions--many that are not well known--to
enrich anyone's summer days and nights.
Travel with this popular
broadcast personality as she reveals all the glories of summer in her beloved
home state.
Diane Smith is co-host of Connecticut's top-rated radio morning show, heard
on WTIC-AM. She produces programs for Connecticut Public Television (CPTV)
based on her popular series Positively Connecticut™, and she is the
author of three other books about Connecticut. Diane was a news anchor and
reporter at WTNH News Channel 8 in New Haven for more than 16 years, where her
reporting earned her an Emmy Award. She lives in Norwalk, Connecticut.
